Return Policy

Standard Products

(Standard widths, lengths, colors and all non-graphic mats.) Most of our products are custom cut so please call us with any problem you may encounter. Products that are free from manufacturing defects or shipping damage must be returned in new, unused, and sale-able condition within 15 days of purchase. Please call for a return authorization prior to shipping material back. Products returned to Mat-Tech for reasons other than manufacturing defect must be shipped back prepaid. Credit for returned goods will be issued less a 25% restocking fee. In the case of manufacturing defects or delivery damage, We must be notified of defective or damaged product within 7 days of delivery date. Once the product has been determined to be defective or damaged, the product will be replaced at no cost to you.

Custom Products

(Custom widths, lengths, colors, and all graphic mats.) All custom products are non-returnable unless found to be defective or below manufacturing standards in any way. Any product deemed defective will be replaced at no cost to you.


All products from Mat Tech are warranted to be free from any manufacturing defect for one full year from the date of purchase.  Any standard size product can be returned to Mat-Tech for a full refund of your purchase price, minus outgoing shipping costs. We will replaced your purchase with a product of equal value, upgrade your purchase (for an additional charge) or refund your money. It’s your choice!  We back every one of our products 100%.


Every effort is made to maintain our prices as competitive as possible. However, due to unexpected cost increases, we reserve the right to adjust prices without notice. We will advise our customers of any changes to published prices at the time a purchase is made.

Charge Cards

We gladly accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express as a means of payment for all products purchased at current posted internet prices.  All credit card transactions are processed immediately upon submission of an electronic order online. 

Open Account

We will gladly establish open account for product purchases. Minimum invoice value to establish open account is $250.00.  Please request our credit application to be completed and submitted to the Mat-Tech’s credit department.  Allow 5-7 working days to establish open credit with account approval. If you have a preprinted credit application, please fax it to 631-573-6261, Attn: Credit Dept.


All sizes indicated on the product pages are approximate. Due to the wide variety of manufacturing processes the actual sizes may vary slightly. Please call to discuss the precise size of any product listed.

Product Colors

We make every effort to represent our product colors as accurately as is possible.  Variations in print or Internet presentation may vary slightly from the actual material used in production.  If color is critical, please provide a sample of the color you require. Mat Tech can color-match your product with a sample which can be provided at an additional fee. PMS color matching is provided if possible.

Color Proofs

All graphic products will have a color proof completed prior to prototype or production of the product.  Color art proofs are designed to approve overall design proportions and location on the mat. Actual colors will vary slightly from paper color proof presentation.

Sales Tax

Shipments to New York State will be taxed at the applicable rate for your delivery address.  If you have tax exempt status or if the sale is for re-sale please either email or fax us the correct form. If we do not have a tax resale certificate or tax exempt certificate we will charge the appropriate sales tax.
